    • Ewan Goligher (MD, PhD, FRCPC) is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and a Clinician-Scientist at the University Health Network in Toronto. His research focuses on life-saving interventions for patients with acute lung failure. He has published over 150 papers including publications in leading medical journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, JAMA, and subspecialty journals. As an intensivist, he cares for patients admitted to the intensive care unit with acute life-threatening illness and advanced respiratory failure, and he is regularly involved in helping patients and families navigate difficult decisions about medical care at the end of life. 

      He writes and speaks on issues in the ethics of end-of-life care for lay and professional audiences. He is the author of On Death and Dying: A Catechism for Christians and How Shall We Then Die? A Christian Response to Physician-Assisted Death, forthcoming with Lexham Press (2024).
